Faithful Stewardship Update
As part of our ongoing commitment to strong, responsible stewardship of the Christian Education Health Plan and Christian Education Pension Plan, we are pleased to share an important addition to our portfolio management.
Following an intentional and thorough process of research, due diligence, and governance oversight, we are introducing a new Investment Manager and Investment Strategy to the Christian Education Pension Trust Fund.
New investment Manager: CC&L Investment Management
Following a careful review and onboarding process completed six months ago, we have selected Connor, Clark, & Lunn (CC&L) to serve as an additional manager with the Fund's equity allocation.
New Investment Strategy: Baillie Gifford - Global Alpha
Building on that work, we are also introducing a refined investment strategy with Global Alpha from Baillie Gifford, designed to support long-term sustainability, prudent risk management, and stability through changing market conditions.
These enhancements reflect our dedication to long-term sustainability, risk-aware diversification, and thoughtful alignment with our fiduciary responsibilities. This is not a reaction to a specific market event but is a culmination of a six-month integration process that involved:
- Extensive screening of potential strategies and managers
- Multiple rounds of evaluation and deliberation
- Collaboration with our investment consultants and actuaries, and
- Rigorous due diligence to ensure stability and growth
What remains unchanged is our commitment to careful oversight, long-term thinking, and decisions made in the best interests of Plan participants. The overall design, policy framework, benefits, governance, and contribution structures are not affected by this update.
These steps reflect our ongoing focus on thoughtful growth, responsible stewardship, and ensuring the Plan remains strong for generations of educators to come.
