An EFAP subscription provides access to support that addresses a variety of topics, issues, needs, and questions.

Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP)

Through the EFAP program, you have access to legal advice, financial advice, health and wellness advisors, short-term counselling, and consultations with day-to-day responsibilities.

• Legal Advice: Speak to an advisor or receive a referral to a lawyer* for legal help in areas like family law, separation/divorce, wills, bankruptcy, estate planning, and real estate.
• Financial Advice: Speak to a Financial Advisor on budgeting, credit support, debt management, and mortgages.
• Health & Wellness Advice: Receive support on nutrition, mindfulness, smoking cessation, and improving sleep.
• Short-Term Counselling: Access 24-hour crisis support or 24-48 non-crisis support with short-term mental health counsellors. Address topics on relationship issues, family problems, stress, anxiety, depression, and more.
• Day-to-Day Consultations: Speak to a consultant for help with day-to-day responsibilities, such as childcare, eldercare, pet obedience, moving, and more.

Mental Health Support

Through the designated Mental Health & Wellness section, access short-term counselling on topics related to stress and anxiety, depression, trauma and grief, tackling insomnia or reducing substance use, and coping with chronic pain or illness.

• Receive guidance on minor ailments like bug bites, scratches and cuts, infections, and more.
